About Freedom Maps

Every map is a choice.

Why we exist

Someone, somewhere, decided where the lines go and called it fact. Some borders were drawn by colonial powers in faraway capitals. Others were determined by geographical features such as rivers and mountains. Many were imposed by blood and conquest.

We think there's room for other maps — ones that give everyone the chance to feel represented. The ones that live in flags on balconies, in street art, in anthems sung for generations. A united Ireland, a free Kurdistan, Catalan republic, an independent Flanders and many more. We don't print these because we've decided who's right. We print them because millions of people already believe them, and until now, nobody made that belief something you could hang on your wall. Here you are free to print the world your own way.

Our company is proudly founded and based in Europe, run by a European team. Our maps are printed in Europe on premium materials, inspired by the rich diversity of the continent we call home.

What we make

Freedom Maps are high-quality cartographic art, rendered with the same technical precision as any official map, but drawn to the borders you choose. Every map is unique — your colour palette, your size, your choice of territories — and finished with your own words: a title or a dedication that matters to you.

What we're not

We're a print studio, not a political party. We don't claim any of these borders as official, legal, or recognised by any government. Every territory we offer reflects a real cultural identity, historical claim, or living political movement, but the map is art, not advocacy on our part. What it means is up to the person hanging it.

We serve customers across the full spectrum of opinion on every territory we print, including people who disagree with each other. That's fine by us. Our maps are a mirror: They show what you believe, not what we do.

How we choose new territories

We make new territories available based on what people ask for. If you'd like to see new borders, tell us by email or on social media.
